Precious Metals IRA
Tangible assets within a retirement structure.
A self-directed IRA allows you to hold IRS-approved physical precious metals within a tax-advantaged retirement account — the same account structure you may already be familiar with, simply holding a different class of asset.
This is not a gimmick or a loophole. It is an established structure within the U.S. tax code that allows qualified investors to diversify their retirement holdings beyond traditional equities and bonds.
It may be appropriate for investors who already have meaningful retirement savings in traditional vehicles and want to introduce a degree of diversification — not as a replacement, but as a complement to existing positions.
ELIGIBLE METALS INCLUDE:
Gold
Minimum 99.5% purity — American Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, approved bars
Silver
Minimum 99.9% purity — American Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, approved bars
Platinum & Palladium
Minimum 99.95% purity — select approved coins and bars
The Process, Simply Explained
1. Private Consultation
We begin with a conversation about your existing retirement accounts, your objectives, and whether a precious metals IRA is appropriate for your situation. There is no obligation and no pressure.
2. Account Review
We review your existing IRA, 401(k), or other eligible retirement accounts to determine what can be transferred or rolled over into a self-directed structure.
4. Fund Transfer
Your funds are transferred from your existing retirement account to the new self-directed IRA. This is typically a direct transfer or a rollover — both of which are standard procedures with clear IRS guidelines.
3. Custodian & Account Setup
An IRS-approved custodian administers the self-directed IRA. We introduce you to appropriate custodian options and assist with the account establishment process.
5. Precious Metals Selection
Working with your custodian and Asher Private Capital, you select the specific IRS-approved precious metals to be purchased within the account — based on your objectives and strategy.
6. Secure Storage
IRS regulations require that metals held within an IRA be stored in an approved, segregated depository — not in personal possession. We help you understand your storage options and the associated costs before you commit.
